REVIEW:
My Rating: ❤ (4 Sweet Stars)
Confessions of a Wedding Planner is a sweet love story that will makes you swoon for a certain Frenchman and rooting for him to have his girl. It's a quick read but at the same time it is adorable and very engaging.

First of all, I must say that I LOVE THE COVER! So heavenly pretty really. That cover perfectly showcase how sweet Veronica is and I fall in love with it on the first sight. Although people say don't judge a book by it's cover, it is usually the cover first that piqued my interest and I am definitely interested in this book.

Levi Laurent or Olivier Laurent is a mesmerizing and dreamy Frenchman  and I just can't help but liking his character. He can be romantic and so sweet to Veronica and I was totally in full mode swooning over him. I especially love the way she called Veronica "My sweet, sweet Veronica". Sigh. So romantic. He really is the Levi to my Veronica! He oozes mysterious aura and I am excited to know more about his immediate family, his background and what makes him tick.

I am also loving Veronica as the heroine of this book because I can feel along with her when her feelings changed gradually from feeling jealous with Jake and Sandrine to falling in love with the charming Levi. I love her profession as a wedding planner and her believe in marriage and as person who is getting married soon I particularly like this kind of theme.

Although I love how the romance is set up between Levi and Veronica, it is not until the very end that I have the satisfaction of 'seeing' them become an item and that moment is pretty short so I hope they will be more to their happy couple times in the next book for me to indulge into.

Overall I think this book delivers a good love story that romance lovers would absolutely love to read and be engrossed into. I would recommend this to contemporary romance reader who love good-looking Frenchman, Paris and wedding. And by the way, I noticed that the next book's title is The Bachelor's Perfect Proposal so does that means Levi will propose to Veronica and they will get married? I am already so intrigued with the next book!

Book Blitz: Confessions of an Undercover Girlfriend by Kay Marie blitz

Confessions of an Undercover Girlfriend
Kay Marie
(Confessions #2)

Genres: Comedy, New Adult, Romance
So, I’m no longer a virgin sex columnist—thank you, Ollie—but if I thought that was going to make my life easier, boy was I wrong! John is back in town determined to win my forgiveness. Blythe is more ready than ever to take me down. Bridget is totally onto the new twinkle in my eye. And, well, Ollie is just as distractingly delicious as usual.
So, naturally, I have a few more confessions to make.
Confession #1: I came up with what I thought would be the perfect plan to keep my relationship with Ollie a secret—pretend to get back together with John!
Confession #2: It backfired. A lot.
Sequel to:

Meet Skylar Quinn!
skylar-quinn
Name: Skylar Quinn – Skye to her friends, and well, anyone else who wants!
Occupation: Newspaper assistant and reluctant sex columnist…
Who Is She? Skylar is the main character of Confessions of a Virgin Sex Columnist! —the story is told in her first person narration. She’s a virgin, a sex columnist, and is, well, pretty much totally anxious about the whole thing. Throw in the secret crush on her best friend’s brother, who also happens to be her new roommate, and you might understand her frequent heart palpitations
Loves: Ollie! No, wait…she used to. She still does? Well, you guys can decide because Skye and I sure can’t! Other loves include coffee, desserts, sugary things in general, reading by the windowsill while it rains, cheesy love scenes, and writing of course—especially when said writing doesn’t include fabricating sexual scenarios for her column.
Hates: High heels, hitting on guys, the never-ending embarrassing moments that seem to plague her life, lying in general (yeah, I see the irony here), and, what did I forget? Oh, right. Ollie!
Guilty Pleasures: Reality television binge watching sessions with Bridget, and, um, secretly watching Ollie flex his biceps out of the corner of her eye!

EXCERPT:
“You want to go to bed?”
“With you?” I ask, a tingle running up my body at the thought. He’s so fucking handsome in this gray suit. His tie is loose around his neck, probably from the frustration of my drink demands, because it was tight before he left for the store. I bite my lip as he stares at me, that tingle turning into something more urgent as I stare back.
“Why not? We could make it fun. Turn this day around. End it on a high note.”
I have dreamed about sex with Mr. Mysterious for years. Since I was a kid, actually. And I know we’ve fucked three times already, but that was different. That was the other me. This is the real me. And now that my plans are all falling into place, it feels… fake. Like I forced this.
“I wouldn’t want to force you,” I say, that word stuck in my mind.
He laughs. Maybe a real one. “You’re the most striking girl I’ve ever dated. You’re not forcing me to do anything.”
He has no idea how well-planned this relationship was. “Are we dating?” I ask, suddenly sad.
I know he’s looking at me. And I know I’m being weird. I also know that I should make a decision right now and then never look back. Either stay here, sleep with him, and tell him the truth tomorrow—since we’ve decided not to talk about it tonight—or walk out and never look back.
I’m on the verge of option two when I feel his hand slip around my waist. “Whatever it is that’s bothering you, can it wait until tomorrow? Or is it urgent?”
I like the feel of his hand over the thin fabric of my dress. It’s large, and warm, and when he pulls me closer, I feel weak with want.
“That was a lot of information to take in. From your mother. Don’t you think?” I chance a look up at him and regret it immediately. He’s somber. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him somber.
“Are we talking about it?” he whispers. “I don’t mind talking about it. If that’s what you want.”
I lean up and kiss him. Softly. Right on the mouth. He doesn’t kiss me back and when I open my eyes, he’s looking at me. He takes the drink from my hand, sets both glasses down on a nearby table and then wraps his arms around me and holds me close. His lips are on my neck, and that urgent feeling I had turns into unquenchable desire.
He holds my face, turning me towards him, and then his lips find mine and we are kissing again, only this time it’s him leading the way. It starts slow, his hands dropping back to my waist. My hands reaching up for his shoulders. His kiss remains soft. Such a contradiction between the man on the outside I’ve come to know and the one I stalked all these years.
But I don’t know him, do I? Not one bit.
He frightens me a little. His perfectly planned childhood, his unplanned past, and his unorthodox present. Like he’s drifting through life, just waiting for something to happen as he takes bad opportunity after bad opportunity and tries to make something good out of them.
“Let’s go to bed,” Pax says again.
I don’t challenge him in any way this time. I don’t care what the meaning is behind his words.
He takes my hand, leading me back into the house and towards the stairs, taking those two at a time so my much shorter legs have to struggle to keep up. A shoe falls off my foot halfway up, the other follows a second later. The floor is cool and feels good as I follow him across a long catwalk that overlooks the living room and into a dark bedroom.
He doesn’t turn on the lights and he wastes no time touching me. His fingertips are lifting up my dress, feather-light touches across the bare skin of my outer thigh. Kissing me, fisting my hair, finding the wetness between my legs as the tingle becomes urge, becomes starvation and hunger for more.
“Take off my clothes,” he says. “Start with the tie.”

Book Blitz: Almost Wrong by Aubey Parker

Almost Wrong
Aubrey Parker
Publication date: October 11th 2016
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance
I’ve always hated Hunter Altman.
I hated him at first sight, in my teens, when my mother met his worthless father.
I hated when Bill moved in with us, dragging Hunter like bad baggage.
I hated when Mom and Bill made it official, turning the delinquent a-hole in the next room into my brand-new stepbrother.
I hated when I fell for Hunter, and Hunter fell for me.
It killed me when he left us behind, shed like dead skin on his way to the top. And now that Hunter is a hotshot music producer on every magazine cover, I hate him even more.
I hate his money. I hate his fancy toys. I hate that he thinks he owns me … or worse, that he OWES me.
I hate that he’s back. That he’s soiled our ghetto with his pristine suit, his fancy black limousine.
My heart hurts, I hate him so much. And it scares me that my heart might keep loving him in the end, beneath it all.

EXCERPT:
“I guess we should talk,” Angela says.
I’m still wearing my tux shirt and pants, because going into the other room to change when she has nothing to swap seems rude. But at least I’ve ditched the jacket and tie. My sleeves are rolled up. She touches my forearm and gives me a chill I haven’t felt in forever.
“About what?” I ask.
“About us.”
I run a multibillion-dollar empire. I could buy and sell countries. People practically bow when I walk down the street. Still, those two words flutter my stomach.
“Okay. In what way?”
She doesn’t answer immediately. Her hand makes firmer contact with my arm, her fingers soft and splayed. She’s already turned toward me, and as juvenile as it seems, I keep wanting to look at her cleavage.
This is so messed up. She’s my stepsister. Has been forever. And we’ve been through all this before, a thousand years ago.
“You know what way,” she says.
I swallow.
“What happened,” she says, “I won’t lie. I wanted it.”
I nod. I wanted it, too. But right now I can’t breathe a word and risk breaking the spell between us.
“But Hunter … it was wrong. We grew up together.”
I think that’s stretching it. We spent two years in adjacent rooms, and I was gone most of the time. I never wanted to be there at all.
I say none of that.
“At the time,” she says, “I was just a kid.”
“Me too.” I don’t like how I say it—almost like begging, as if I’m waiting for Angela to feel sorry for me.
“I didn’t know what was going on back then. You remember how I was, kind of in my shell. I guess you’d say I was a late bloomer. We happened to become … closer … right around the time I finally started to bloom.”
I don’t like this talk of blooming. I remember how she’d bloomed. I remember how she felt to the touch.
I’ve seen countless tits since leaving home. I’ve licked whipped cream and snorted coke off an endless parade of nipples. Breasts are two blobs of fat capped with tiny hats, and yet one of my most vivid, most sepia-tinged memories is of that day under the pier. There was something about the first time I saw her like that. She looked vulnerable — but at the same time, I could see her as a sexual being in a way I’d never been able to before. At first, she’d seemed childish, and later she’d seemed full of herself, prudish, naive.
But that day she’d been … Angela. Someone new. Someone who’d bloomed open from a closed bud, and I was there when it happened, tempted by forbidden fruit.
“But it was just hormones,” she says. “We’re older now. Wiser.”
I try to smile. It probably comes off sideways, maybe obnoxious—the jaded grin I’m afraid will convince her that I’m the asshole she’s always imagined I was. But it’s meant to soften the blow as I say, “Stop it. I already feel old at thirty, and you’re making me feel older.”
“You know what I mean, don’t you?” Her hand is still on my arm. If she’s trying to make a platonic point, her touch is driving me in the wrong direction.
“I guess.”
“Have you thought about me while you’ve been gone? You know … in that way?”
Which answer should I give her?
Yes.
Constantly.
Unceasingly.
Nobody could ever quite compare, and I may have gone through an entire modeling agency, like yanking tissues from a box, searching for something that felt the same.
Instead, I keep my face neutral. “I guess. Sometimes.”
Angela looks like she’s blunting her reply. “Me, too. Sometimes.”

Book Blitz: Back To Me by Lindsay Paige [With Giveaway]

Back to Me
Lindsay Paige
(Carolina Rebels #1)
Publication date: October 4th 2016
Genres: Adult, Romance, Sports
Noah Ramsey has a great hockey career, wonderful parents, and a good best friend, but what he wants most is to be with the love of his life who walked away from him years ago. When he finds her at the airport, he realizes she’s changed, and she’s struggling with things she doesn’t want to tell him about. Noah also realizes just how much she scarred him when she left.
Meredith Quick has always planned everything out. She chose her tennis career over love in order to better succeed, but her plan dissolves when an injury threatens her career and her fiancé leaves her. Struggling through pain and the uncertainty of her future, she realizes her first misstep was walking away from Noah. She impulsively decides to go back to him while she attempts to put her life back together.
Reacquainting isn’t easy when Noah doesn’t quite trust Meredith to stay and Meredith struggles with overcoming the pain she’s endured without him. Can they work through their issues and move forward, or will their past ruin things between them forever?
EXCERPT:
“Tell me about you.”
He tilts his head back to lean against the seat. I’m not sure what it means that he’s not looking at me as he speaks. “Well, I love playing as a pro. It’s been a bit frustrating at times, but I wouldn’t trade it. My teammates are great, too. Maybe you can meet one or two of them while you’re here.”
“I’d like that. What about your family?”
“You already know Ashley had a baby. She’s been married to Oliver for about a year now. She met him in college and he proposed the day after they graduated. Mom and Dad are doing well, too. Dad spends his time on the golf course while Mom makes quilts and does whatever it is she does with her friends. Not much has changed with them. I would ask about your family, but I already know. And since you don’t want to talk about you, I’m not sure if I should ask how you’ve been.”
He does know how they are because according to my parents, he talks to them almost as often as he talks to his own parents. He’s right, too. I don’t want him to ask how I’ve been because if I start talking, I might become a crazy, blubbering mess. “Tell me what you know about my life instead.” Then, I’ll find out how much he knows about Vance. How much he knows about my disastrous life. I’m not sure what he talks about with my parents or how much information my mom provides about me.
“I know you’ve hated dealing with your injury, you’re worried you’ll be forced to leave the game early, and you don’t talk about it if you can help it. From what I hear, you also refuse to talk about your engagement and why it ended. Your parents are worried about you, too. That’s all I know, Mere. You mom only gives me brief updates. She knows I want to know how you’re doing, but she doesn’t want to say too much either, out of respect to you.” He pauses as a flight attendant checks on us and then focuses his attention on me again. “Am I crazy for hoping you’ll talk to me about those things?”
“Yes.” I don’t want to, not yet. Just like I want to find out if he has a girlfriend, but I’m too scared to ask right now.
Noah nods, not looking surprised at all. He leans his head against the seat again, facing forward. “I’ve missed you, Meredith.” Four quietly spoken words that echo loudly in my heart as if he just shouted them.
I glance away, deciding the cloud-filled sky is a more preferable view than this handsome man next to me. “I’ve missed you, too,” I whisper. More than he could ever imagine.

He’s perfect.
But the last thing Nick wants is to start fresh with a new baby as his college-age kids fly the coop. A single father for more than fifteen years after his wife walked out on her family, Nick finally tastes freedom.
But he likes the taste of Chloe more.
* * *
Our Options Have Changed is a full-length standalone contemporary romance, the first in the On Hold series by New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Julia Kent and journalist-turned-fiction-writer Elisa Reed. It is a loose spinoff from Julia Kent’s Shopping for a Billionaire series, with cameo appearances from favorite characters.
**BONUS ALL-NEW NOVELLA** from Julia Kent’s New York Times bestselling Shopping series! Read Shopping for a Billionaire’s Honeymoon. This 100-page bonus comes at the end of Our Options Have Changed. When Shannon can’t get workaholic Declan to give her the sexy honeymoon time she wants, she takes matters into her own hands — with hilariously disastrous (or disastrously hilarious?) results.
EXCERPT:
O is a twenty-first century club for sophisticated women. A fourth space for women of a discerning taste.
Home is the first space. Work is the second space. Third spaces are locations like coffee shops and malls.
O is the fourth space. The space where you can arrive. Rest. Relax. Indulge. Be someone you can’t be in the other three spaces.
Based on our membership rates, we’re onto something. Our investors are, shall we say, pleased.
O does have a public presence, thanks to our retail environments. In Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, and soon in New Orleans, sophisticated consumers can spend hours—and hundreds of dollars—browsing our selection of “elegant accessories for intimate pleasure.”
That’s right—sex toys. That’s what the masses call them. Except at O, we cater to a clientele that doesn’t want to be one of the hoi polloi. They want to be unique. In the know. Enlightened and cosmopolitan on the surface.
But a wildcat down…below.
Which makes a Grade C unacceptable. No one wants to be average.
Especially down below.

Darren
K.C. Falls

I felt his presence before Darren Soul announced himself by clearing his throat. Having been in that never land of almost sleep, it took me a moment to organize my thoughts enough to speak. For an endless few seconds I stared stupidly into the nearly black eyes that still occupied an unhealthy portion of my intimate inner world.
I hadn't been able to get the man out of my mind for as long as I could remember. He was like a booger on the fingertip of my soul. I couldn't flick him off.
What the fuck was he doing in that room with me?
My skirt didn't need smoothing, but I smoothed it. My hair didn't need tucking, but I tucked it. I fought the blush that threatened to creep up my neck to my cheeks and reminded myself that he hadn't actually witnessed himself in my head while I revisited a favorite fantasy the night before.
"It's been a long time, Sarah." That voice still made my name a song. It was a little lower now, a real man's basso profundo. He arched one inky brow at me and said, "Almost seven years?"
Six years, nine months to be precise.
"About that," I answered. I was trying desperately to sort out why he was there, in the Judge's office, and why in the hell he looked so different. Still hot enough to make the asphalt on Main Street warp, but different hot. Like completely different. What happened to the man I thought I knew?
"What are you doing here?" I think I sounded a little hostile. I couldn't help it. I still felt the sting he left on my pride almost as much as the ache he'd left between my legs.
"Judge Whitener thought maybe I could add something to the discussion."
"I'm a little confused, Darren. I don't even know what I'm here to discuss, other than the estate. There's not much you can add to that unless there's something I haven't been told."
"You've been outta the loop for a while. You know small towns. Things get talked about."
I was still trying to figure out how he had traded the "I'm-such-a-tough-mutha-bad-boy" look with the "I'm-so-smooth-you're-dying-to-lick-every-shiny-inch-of-me" vibe.
I decided the shirt had everything to do with it. It was white. Whiter than actual white. So white it hurt the eyes. I'd never seen him wear anything but dirty, or no shirt at all. I was seeing Darren Soul all grown up and clean as a brand new penny.
Holy Seersucker, Batman! Darren Soul's traded his crotch rocket for a polo pony! But damn. He wore preppy with the same lip smacking cool as he'd worn all that ink and sweat so many years ago. When I laughed out loud he gave me a look.
"I'm sorry. I just never thought you'd cross over to the dark side. Or," I smiled as I indicated toward his clothes, "should I say the khaki side?"

Conflicted by Rebecca Hamilton
“I’m not an idiot, Chelsie. I was outside in the hallway and heard the nurse order a pregnancy test on room number nineteen. You’re in room nineteen.” He paused and pointed to the board where it said “HCG HOLD” in big red letters. “This means they need to confirm you’re not pregnant before they’ll do a surgery. Why didn’t you tell me? I have every right to know.”
Everyone in the surgery wing had a right to know, I supposed, by the way his voice was so angry and loud. My body vibrated.
I sat up straight in bed. “Because I’m not pregnant. I haven’t had a period in a couple of months, but we were careful, and my tests were negative. You’ll see you’re overreacting.”
The color had drained from his tanned skin. If he hadn’t taken a seat quickly, I felt certain he would’ve fainted. He rolled over to me on the small medical stool. His reaction told me he wasn’t happy about the possibilities. It was a bit unsettling to me, but I wasn’t going to publicly deal with his emotions—I had my own.
I watched as one-by-one he chewed the cuticles on his nails. It was something I’d never seen him do before. Right then, I realized he wasn’t ready for what we’d been doing.
His actions diminished the way I felt about him.
While a baby would’ve meant a miracle in my life, I already had one child who’s father rarely offered to complete the circle of life with our son and be the mentor he needed. I didn’t want that for another child, regardless of my private longing to fill my empty wound and heal the hole in my heart.
His nostrils flared. “How could you let this happen?”
He was putting the blame on me?
“Wow, you’re commitment to me lasted all of five minutes.”
He refused to make eye contact.
“Ian, you’re a doctor and you’re asking me that question? You know, I don’t need this right now. I crave a man that’s willing to stand tall with me and be on the same page about us and life and—embrace everything. Since you’re obviously not capable of doing that, you need to get out. Please, just get out of my room and get out of my life.” My arms flung about in the air like a peacock frilling her feathers, almost ripping the IV needle from my vein. “I need someone who supports me in all endeavors, not blames me the minute the first hiccup comes along. All you’ve done is turn my world upside down.”
He didn’t move.
“I said, GET. OUT.” I left no question about the rest of the department hearing my command.
Ian’s shoulders dropped, but he offered up not a single defense for himself.
When he left, I couldn’t decide if his departure made me feel better or worse, but I was grateful Shawna was still by my side.
