Bombshell, an all-new sexy and swoony standalone from CD Reiss is available now!

Reiss-Bombshell-23344-CV-FT-v6

Bombshell by CD Reiss Publication Date: May 1st, 2017 Publisher: Montlake Genre: Contemporary Romance

Synopsis:

Hollywood bad boy Brad Sinclair always gets his way, whether it’s the role he wants or the bikini-clad model he has to have. But when a bombshell gets dropped in his lap in the form of a dimpled five-year-old from a forgotten relationship, he knows his life is about to change forever.
Cara DuMont isn’t exactly thrilled when she gets assigned to be the nanny for the latest box-office king. She has one rule: no celebrity fathers, especially single ones with devilish good looks and rock-hard abs.
But as soon as Cara meets Brad and his adorable little girl, she knows she’s in for a world of trouble. Because there’s something about the way Brad looks at her that makes her believe that some rules are meant to be broken…

Excerpt:

The front door opened. I expected a housekeeper or butler, but it was the actor himself. I hadn’t forgotten how beautiful he was; I’d just chosen not to think about it. “Ma’am,” he said. Southern boy. Parents together. Christian elementary. Public secondary. Two years at USC Drama. Dates his costars for a month after the wrap party, then moves on. Poring through the trades and making calls, I’d discovered he’d spend at least eight of the next twelve months overseas doing action movies, but most had postproduction in town. “Mr. Sinclair,” I said, holding my hand out. “Nice to see you outside a bathroom.” He shook my hand. I’d shaken plenty of famous hands attached to gorgeous men, but my imagination was sparked by the way his fingers slid against mine to grasp them and the way our palms pressed together. My mind clouded over with ripped sheets, hard muscles, and soft skin. “Pleasure’s mine,” he said and my brain skipped like a trip on a cracked sidewalk over the word pleasure. He didn’t give me the oversincere hand-over-clasp to show me how damn happy he was to see me, but there was something intimate about that half a second. Just a consultation. I followed him into the house. Dora Donovan had designed it. Looked like her with her faux-midcentury white couch and shag rug. That wasn’t going to work with playdates unless he wanted to keep an upholsterer on staff. We went through the living room to a smaller room with a pool table smack in the middle. It had a stained glass Budweiser lamp over it and was racked for nine-ball. Dora Donovan had nothing to do with this room, for sure. “Wanna sit?” He held a chair out for me. The glass-topped table was just inside the open patio doors and was set with iced tea. I sat. “I’m not a date,” I said kindly, indicating the iced tea setup. “Just so you know. You don’t have to do things like hold the chair for me.” “Habit, I guess.” He sat opposite me. “Chivalry is nice. But with the nanny, whomever you hire, it can be misconstrued.” He smirked a little, as if misconstruing his own thoughts. I cleared my throat and pulled my jacket closed.

About the Author

CD Reiss is a New York Times bestseller. She still has to chop wood and carry water, which was buried in the fine print. Her lawyer is working it out with God but in the meantime, if you call and she doesn't pick up she's at the well hauling buckets. Born in New York City, she moved to Hollywood, California to get her master's degree in screenwriting from USC. In case you want to know, that went nowhere but it did give her a big enough ego to write novels. She's frequently referred to as the Shakespeare of Smut which is flattering but hasn't ever gotten her out of chopping that cord of wood. If you meet her in person, you should call her Christine. _21A6258_pp-fb

My Review:

5 BOMBSHELL SOUTHERN STARS!

I swear CD Reiss would never disappointed you and boy,  BOMBSHELL is THE BOMB.
I really can't get enough of Brad and Cara's story even though I read every words in this book. I am still over the moon with them and yeah here is my attempt to review this book.

When talking about this book, I think what attract me the most is definitely the hero, Brad Sinclair. I don't know about you but just the name alone already get me. Because Sinclair is just so sexy as a name I can't resist from not reading this book. Also lets picture a hot playboy, party boy James Dean living on top of the world in Hollywood in the modern time. And when he suddenly becomes a daddy to a super cute Nicole, it just get exponentially way more interesting.

On top of that, there is this super professional cool and pretty nanny (imagine nannies of the freaking rich people) named Cara who is so good with kids that I secretly wish had her abilities to stop kids crying.  She is an interesting character as a heroine as I don't think I would ever like a nanny who falls to the daddy of the kids that she is taking care of but somehow, anyhow I ends up loving her because she have this charm that just makes her loveable.

I like the dynamic between Brad, Cara and Nicole in the story as I find it very refreshing to have a famous actor, an estranged little daughter that suddenly popped up of nowhere and a unique nanny that could speak French. They are lots of cute and funny shenanigans and I savor all of them!

It is a bit more family centric but it is a friggin' good one and I highly recommend this. It is absolutely and definitely a five star material and hats off for another brilliant masterpiece.

P.s: I love the hashtags used in the book! #familyfirst #Bradvsmydad #ImWithSinclair

Blog Tour: Crown Jewels by Ella James

SBPR-CR-BT (1).jpg

Crown Jewels by Ella James Publication Date: November 20th, 2016 Genre: Contemporary Romance

crown jewels.jpg

Synopsis:

From USA Today bestseller Ella James...
After that close-up of his package on the sailboat in Morocco, TMZ started calling him Crown Jewels.
Not that I keep track of Prince Liam. Definitely don’t stalk him online like my friends do. I’m out of that scene now. My family’s reality show might still be running, but I’ve been off-screen for a while. When people pass me on the sidewalk, they might squint, but most of them don’t scream “Lucy Rhodes” and ask about my love of Lucky Charms or how my broken toe healed.
Prince Liam—my stalking his Instagram—that’s just for fun. It’s my dirty little secret. Trust me, I’m the only woman in the world who doesn’t actually want him.
Except I’m back in the Hamptons for the first time in two years. I’m at a party, and Prince Manwhore is here as well. I tell myself that smile has no effect on me. That his ridiculous charisma is a parlor trick I see right through.
After our one night together, no one knows that I succumbed. It doesn’t matter. It meant nothing. Not until I see those two pink lines.
** Crown Jewels is an 80,000-word contemporary romance novel with no cliffhanger ending.

Excerpt:

I awaken in darkness.
The room is pitch black, and someone’s arm is locked around me. For a blind, horrific second, fear grips my heart, so hard and painful that I gasp.
And then I smell him. I’m not sure exactly where I am right at his moment. But I smell aftershave and soap, a little bit of sunscreen and a little bit of sweat, and my body knows it’s him.
Prince Liam.
Liam, prince of the Isle of Gael, is lying in this bed behind me. A few careful, quiet breaths and I’m pretty sure…he’s sleeping.
Holy Hello Kitty. Prince Liam is sleeping next to me. My body flushes, bliss and horror.
How’d we get here? What the hell is going on? And then I feel his fingers in my hair. His hand is in my hair—right now! He fell asleep rubbing my hair.
My eyes fly to the windows: dark. What time is it? My clutch is somewhere in this room. I’m not sure where.
I shut my eyes and try to keep my breathing even as I run the night’s events back through my mind. Downstairs, talking to the Playmate. Bryce. My body jerks at the memory, and I can feel Prince Liam’s body rock a little bit against mine. Big and wide and hard. He’s bowed around me like a shield.
Heat blooms in between my legs.
I freaked out, and he saw me. I embarrassed myself, walked in on some kind of threesome.
Why did he come back?
It’s his room, you moron. I’m probably in his guest room. I draw a deep breath in and feel his sturdy arm tighten around me. I feel his face against my neck, the roughness of his scruffy beard. Warmth spreads through me. Then he stirs some more and makes a low sound in his throat. And then I feel his mouth against my neck. His lips—
He’s kissing me.
I don’t mean to make a sound, but then I feel him press himself against my backside. Terror bubbles in me.
“Stop!”
I pull away, and he’s awake. His eyes, I see them in the dark. They’re wide. He pushes up on his arm and holds his big hand up.
I watch him rub his eyes. He looks around. He looks confused.
“You fell asleep,” I offer.
He blinks at me as if he didn’t understand my words. Then he reaches for me. He takes my hand and cradles it in his two hands. He looks into my eyes.
“Are you all right?” he asks me, voice low, words rolling with that Scottish-sounding accent of his.
“I’m fine.”
He shakes his head slowly, at least I think I see him do that. Then he’s simply staring at me. With those hazel eyes.
Dear God, he’s gorgeous.
His hand traces mine. Then he lies back down and pulls me down beside him. He wraps me up against his body, and I notice he’s not pushing his dick against me anymore.
“You smell good,” he murmurs. “You have pretty hair.”
“Are you drunk?”
I think I see his lips twitch. “I don’t get drunk.”
I turn around to face him. He pushes some hair off my forehead. Then he kisses me. It’s so gentle, so careful, I can’t help responding. He tastes like cinnamon, like liquor. His mouth explores mine, his tongue gliding past my own, his big hand in my hair again.
He kisses me until I can’t breathe, and then he pulls away. “Tá tú álainn.”
I frown.
He smiles, that gentle, gorgeous smile. “Gaelic.” He tips his forehead to mine. He says something else I don’t understand, then kisses the side of my mouth, his lips feathering gently over mine.
I feel his knee move, as if he’s shifting his hips, and I can’t help pulling him closer for another kiss.
I touch his shoulders as I kiss him, and I can feel his body tense under my hands. His tongue glides back into my mouth, and he moans.
Holy shit. I kiss him deeper and his body rocks against mine. His hands are on my head; he pulls me closer, till we’re pressed together, chest to hips.
He says something low and very soft, something that sounds like, “On all that is holy…”
Then his hand is on my shoulder, squeezing. His hand is squeezing, then he’s grasping my breast.
I grind myself against him, gasping between kisses. My body burns with heat and fear. My heart riots. Adrenaline almost overcomes me at the feel of his hard body up against mine, his chest pumping, his breath warm. I’m losing it when his hand leaves my breast and slides around my hip to cradle me against his body.
God, I’ve never been handled this way, as if…I’m everything. He’s rough then gentle, firm then tender, desperate all the while. I can feel the warmth of his breath, can hear the pattern of his ragged inhalations.
His scratchy cheek presses against mine, and I can feel his body heat. He leans away, his chest still pumping. I put my hand between his pecs. I can’t help it. He’s so…perfect. My fingertips wander to the seal above his heart, the royal tattoo he got when he was younger.
I trace my finger down his chest, and the prince’s abs harden. “Christ.” That was a flinch, I think.
I swear to God, I can feel the heat pulse in between my legs. Something overtakes me, something big and brash and heady: power.
I rub my fingertip over the hair that trails down toward his pants, and that’s when I see his stiff erection.
My brain explodes with memories of perfection wrapped in wet boxer-briefs. I’m not thinking. I just touch.
He sucks back a sharp breath. I trace the plump, perfect head, hating the fabric barrier between my hand and his skin. Liam groans, his length jutting toward me.
I look into his eyes and find them hazy. “Lucy…”
“You want me to touch it?” My voice is sultry, not my voice at all.
I’m rubbing him before he has the chance to answer. His breath catches. Then he moans low in his throat and starts to pant. His eyes are shut, I find as I rub his thick cock through his pants. His hand hovers over my mine as if he wants to grab me. His long fingers curl into a fist.
I drag my fingers down the length of him, surprised to find he’s even bigger than I thought. His heavy eyelids lift a little. My Lord, he’s fucking gorgeous. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more perfect male, and this one, shirtless, panting as he presses up against my hand—he turns me on so much I want to screw him.
Holy hell, I want to screw Prince Liam.
I try to grip him through his pants, fondle his balls, waiting for him to jump up and throw me on the bed. Waiting for him to scare me.
But he doesn’t.
He just locks his big fist up over my arm and leans his head back on the pillow, groaning through his locked jaw as I unbutton his pants and come to his black boxer-briefs. I can see his head so well. I see the rim of it. I rub a fingertip over it and he mutters a curse.
His hand uncurls, the side of his fingers touching my wrist. I reach inside his boxer-briefs and wrap my hand around him. Still, he doesn’t grab my arm. I watch his face as I firm up my grip and stroke him. I can feel his hips tremble. I fold his fly back, try to pull his briefs down. He lifts his hips and pulls them down himself. I look with wide eyes at what has got to be an eight-inch dick and the weighty balls below. Crown Jewels.
I touch his balls and watch them draw up underneath my fingertips. I run my hand from the base of his cock back up toward the tip. His eyes open on a deep breath.
“Fuck…”
Oh my God, is that a little bit of precum? I feel a rush of heat between my own legs as I blink at it. For the first time in two years, I clench. I feel greedy. Needy.
Holy hell, I have to have him.
My head spins as I climb on top of him, straddling his hips as his eyes rise to meet mine. He flexes beneath me, and a zip of fear streaks through me. That he’ll throw me off and get on top of me. That he’ll grab my wrists and squeeze. Instead, Prince Liam peers up at me with hooded eyes, smiling a pirate’s smile as his hand rubs my knee.
I pull my dress up and struggle with my thong. My hands are shaking too hard to pull it off. I rub myself against him, panting. Liam groans.
“Christ almighty…” His jaw is locked as he rasps, “Lucy.” Then he rips my thong.
He says something else in what I realize must be Gaelic. Then he’s reaching down, stroking himself. With the fingers of his other hand, he parts my lips. He rubs a finger over me, making me tremble.
“Fuck, you’re beautiful…”
I don’t know how he knows because his eyes are shut, but I love the way his face looks. Suddenly it’s all I can do to stay still. And then I can’t. I’m shaking as I pull his cock away from his amazing abs. My legs quiver as I rise up, holding his shaft, pushing his thick head against my entrance.
His lips are parted now, his eyes still shut. I sink down on him inch by slow, amazing inch and watch him writhe, knees coming up around me as I take him deep—so deep I can’t help crying out.
His hands squeeze my hips, not to hard. And then he’s lifting me off him, his muscular arms straining so my legs don’t have to. His powerful abs ripple with each thrust: he rises just a little, letting me sink down on him. I put my hands over his and use my legs to rise and fall, taking control of things. Taking control because I have to.
He doesn’t let me fully. Liam sets the pace, his big breaths punctuating the rhythm of our thrusting. I’m rising up, using the well-honed muscles of my thighs, but his hands around my hips are lifting, too.
When I sink, I lean over, pinching his nipples sometimes, reaching around behind myself to cup his balls. His groans are loud and ragged. His face is tense, almost pained, and I love it when I feel the goose-bumps on his diamond-chiseled hips.
Then he changes something up… Changes the angle. When he fills me up…I lose control. I can’t stop the sounds from pouring from my throat. Can’t stop the way I lean sideways against his raised knee, gripping it with my arm. I hear a whimper, and it’s mine.
“Oh God!” I’m so full. I don’t think I’ve ever been this full before…
“That’s right,” he murmurs, thrusting harder.
When he pulls out and lifts me up, I’m desperate for him, scrambling to get back on that huge cock. My skin tingles with sweat. My mouth is open; I can’t breathe—
I feel him harden, swell and tighten, stretching me. When I’m filled with him, I grind around.
“Oh my God!”
I’m right there on the edge. He draws me off him, and I fumble to grab onto his arms and press myself back down. My fingers graze his hips, and then he pushes me down hard. I’m filled so deep and full, my body starts to quake. My stomach quivers, and my eyes flip open just in time to find he’s watching me.
His lips are curved, his eyes lust-hazed.
I do the only thing I can think of to equalize the situation, reaching around behind myself again to roll his big balls in my shaking fingers. One roll, followed by a gentle tug. I feel his cock thump hard inside me, causing me to lean down on him. That’s where I lie as heat fills me: there across his flawless chest.
For just a second, his hands cup my face. His eyes linger on mine, his mouth still open with pleasure, his thick pecs rising under me.
“Luce. Goddamn.”
It’s an exultation.
I feel so good there on him, I can’t move for a long moment. He just came inside me, and it feels so right.
I marvel at how…fine I feel. How tired and good and…good.
I stroke my nails up his side. “Mmm.” I grin.
Liam laughs, a throaty sound.
I feel his lips on my forehead as he leans up, the quick swipe of his palm over my hair. “You are fucking perfect, Lucy Rhodes.”
He pushes up on one elbow, holding me against him for a moment, one big arm around me.
Then I’m easing off him, and he’s moving lithely off the bed. “Let me get you something.”
I sink into the covers, waiting for the fallout: for a shudder, for a sob. But nothing comes.
He returns smirking, and grins broadly when our eyes meet. Instead of handing me the warm, wet cloth, he delves under the covers, his knuckles grazing my belly as he spreads the cloth over me and lays his hand there, as if offering some wordless blessing over my vagina.
I start laughing, and he laughs with me.
“You’re a real prince, Liam.”
He grins. “I’ve been told.”
And it’s so natural, I don’t feel funny cleaning up under the covers with him there beside me.
I stretch out on my back, catching my breath. I’m thinking how sad I’ll be to get up when he lies beside me, his big shoulder bumping mine.
“You were incredible,” he says in a gravelly voice. And somehow, it’s not patronizing or weird. Just very, very genuine.
I giggle like a dumb teenager.
He turns over on his side, propping his head in his hand as he looks down on me. Then he lies back flat, wraps an arm around me, pulls me close, and kisses just under my ear. One of his legs rubs mine. He makes a soft, male sound, then falls asleep as if we do this every night.

I lie awake staring at him in the darkness. Who is this man? I run my open palm over his hair, which he let down sometime when I wasn’t looking. He relaxes just a little more against me, and I like it. That’s the last thought that I have before I wake up to an empty bed.

My Rating: 5 OUTSTANDING ROYAL STARS!
Crown Jewels is one awesome read and it is packed with lots of goodness and hotness and I just can't put it down!

Prince Liam is one DREAMY male lead character and I am fascinated with him. Although he was first described as pretty much a playboy prince, when he met Lucy he is so caring and protective towards her. And he also loves to eat lamb chop and his favorite animal is elephant! He might seems sweet and so perfect but yet, he have a certain type of disorder that only makes him more interesting and I really dig that!

Lucy Rhodes is one lovely heroine and her character is portrayed as a celebrity as the one like Kardashians where her family have their own shows. It means that she is pretty famous but now she no longer do acting and also she had a terrible incident happened to her before. What I like about her is that she is brave enough to try her hardest to move on from that horrible incident and I am also loving her friendship with Amelia. I think she is funny too and I can't believe she initially called Ollie as RBB lol!

Overall, I think Crown Jewels is truly captivating and I had a great fun reading it. I am totally sold with Liam and Lucy's relationship and I am super happy the way it ended. I must say that I like the epilogue so much because it gives me a huge satisfaction and it was so adorable.

I am totally and definitely recommend Crown Jewels to all the romance readers because it is an amazing love story and you would absolutely fall in love with Prince Liam and Lucy. It is quite fast-paced but there are many swoon-worthy moments and the hot scenes will surely turn up the temperature. It is certainly a must read!

P.s: I'm having a withdrawal now after reading Crown Jewels so I think I'm gonna use the voice-to-text feature a lot to text after this because I miss Prince Liam already!

EXCERPT:
She stood on the sidewalk facing him, a sweet smile on her lips.
Cort gestured to his front door with a flick of his chin. “Want to come in?”
“Yes. But we have to talk first.”
“What happened to ‘Take me to bed’?”
She sighed. “Fresh air cleared my head.”
He glanced down at his swollen cock, all but bursting against the zipper of his jeans. “I’m dying a little here, baby.”
Her eyes followed his, dancing with mirth when she looked back up at him. “So I see.”
“I’m not alone either,” he said, dropping his eyes to her nipples, which strained against her thin, billowy blouse.
“No,” she said, her voice slightly lower, her smile giving way to a hotter, more needy look. “You’re not.”
“So let’s talk inside.”
She shook her head no. “Here.”
Cort sighed, hitching her flowered bag a little higher on his shoulder, waiting for her to continue.
“No talking about Jax or Thatcher,” she said. “If you talk about Jax, I won’t be able to stay. I’ll feel too guilty. And if you talk about Thatcher, I’ll feel too angry. Promise?”
“I promise.”
She took a step closer to him. “And this one’s big…No falling in love with each other. We’re just about impossible, you and me, so we can’t—you know—bring that sort of emotion into this. We can enjoy each other, but that’s all, Cort. Promise.”
He flinched as she finished. He could feel the involuntary muscle reaction that narrowed his eyes and told him that it was too late. It was a lifetime too late to tell him not to love her, because he’d loved her for most of his life. Her gentleness, her quiet grace, the peace he’d always found in her presence now combined with the scorching chemistry between them that couldn’t be denied. Over and over again throughout his life, he’d looked for her, tried to find someone like her, but his heart had fixed on hers so long ago, it was all but impossible for him not to love her. The only way he could promise her was to promise not to “fall” this weekend, only because he’d already fallen years before.
“I promise not to fall.”
She smiled at him, though the smile had lost a bit of the lightheartedness it had held minutes earlier. “Do you need any promises from me?”
He nodded, closing the distance between them. “Yeah, I do.”
Her eyes widened, flaring with heat, the black of her pupils obliterating the green of her irises as she pressed her breasts against his chest.
“Promise to leave nothing on the table, Mad. Give me everything you’ve got for twenty-four hours.”
“Except…” Her voice broke. “Except my love. I promise.”
His heart clenched at her omission, and it made him want to push her out of her comfort zone a little. “Promise to touch me everywhere with your hot little mouth.”
“I promise,” she murmured, her throat moving as she swallowed.
His eyes narrowed. “Promise to open your legs so I can slide inside of you as if I’ve been doing it all my life.”
“Cort,” she whimpered, her eyes fluttering closed as she looked down at where her chest heaved into his. “I need you.”

My Rating: ❤ 5 "Baby, you're music" Stars
Marry Me Mad is a superbly romantic love story that will make you swoon, chuckle and feels giddy giggling continuously because the romance is so freaking sweet.

I totally love the idea of this story where the guy have always been in love with the girl of his dream but never got the chance to be with her until now. I think that is super sweet of him. And the fact that he is a super talented musician that plays various instrument, can sing and always seems to write song about the girl he loves took the word swoon to another level.

Let's talk about the hero now shall we?
Cort Ambler is a tattooed musician with a dirty blond long hair and gray-blue eyes. He may looks so edgy and tough but he is a super duper romantic. He have the best cheesy words in the world and I have never make so many notes on swoon-worthy things on my Kindle before this book. Those words really are cheesy but it is so romantic and I just wish he could come out from the literary world to teach my fiance at least some of his cheesy words lol.

Aside from his cheesiness and him being so freaking romantic, I love that he is also a kind person as he care for people's feelings around him and he talk so sweetly to a dog.  Sigh, he is so perfect!

Now, let's talk about the gorgeous heroine.
Madeleine Rousseau or Mad is the stunning French librarian who are all pearls and heels from outside but she also can curse like a champ and I just love her. I love that she is fiercely loyal especially towards her twin, Jax but I particularly love that she stays true to herself. I mean she obviously is crazy about Cort but she didn't let herself truly enjoy being with Cort because she feels guilty towards Jax but she also can't entirely say no to Cort either as she acknowledge her feeling for him.

list like
(or in other words, Things that I love about the book)
I actually have countless things that I love about the book but these are my top favorites:
1. That moment when Cort thought that Mad are impossibly beautiful but in actuality, he said  that aloud and when he realize that, he affirmed it. And that is so sweet!
You are impossibly beautiful, he thought, lost in the unique light-green of her eyes and not realizing until she squeaked "Me?" that he'd actually said the words aloud.
..."You, Medeleine Rousseau."
2. I love that Cort keeps on writing song for Mad in his head through out the story and I am a big fan of beautiful songs in a book. The Miss Mad song he wrote is beautiful and it is now among my favorite songs in the literary world. And by the way, I love how the song is put in the story verse by verse. It was brilliantly clever and I specifically love the last verse!

3. That scene where Mad mistakenly thought Cort feel she does not look good in sweats and a T-shirt and Cort being the romantic and musician he is, he doesn't just say she is beautiful, he said "Baby, you're music." *Swoon*

(or in other words, Things that I dislike about the book)
I am a little bit frustrated with Mad when she keep on postponing the very much needed talk with Jax about Cort but I also understand that it is the the angst needed in the story so I guess I can accept that. I just wish that I didn't feel like pulling out my hairs every time the talk is being postpone :D

That being said, I am totally recommending Marry Me Mad to all romance readers because this is absolutely the one book that you wouldn't want to miss out on. It have many swoon-worthy moments, sweet and cheesy lines, awesome lyrics and a dashing musician. Seriously, y'all need to read this because it is that good!

Review: Hard to Fall by Marquita Valentine

Hard to Fall (Take the Fall #4) by Marquita Valentine
Release Date: October 18, 2016
Publisher: LoveSwept

Synopsis:
New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author, Marquita Valentine, is releasing the fourth book in her Take the Fall Series.
As a hardworking, hard-partying firefighter, Hayden Walker values his career and his freedom. But as the eldest son of a U.S. senator, he agreed long ago to follow in his father’s footsteps and run for office, and that means settling down and marrying the picture-perfect wife. Hayden just isn’t ready for that sort of commitment . . . not with women like beautiful, curvy Saylor Dean—the naughty bridesmaid he recognizes the morning after his buddy’s wedding—tempting Hayden to stay single forever.
The unwanted love child of a well-known politician, Saylor has always felt isolated and alone, her only solace the animal shelter she runs in Forrestville. Then she meets Hayden at her best friend’s wedding. During their impulsive and unforgettable night together, Saylor feels desired like never before—only to wake up and find that Hayden doesn’t remember his drunken proposal, or their hasty marriage, or her. But when the truth comes out, Saylor finds it’s a lot harder to fall out of love than in love.
Excerpt:
“I’m trying to treat you differently.” I shake my head. “That’s not what I mean.”
“What do you mean?” She takes a step closer, the scent of her coconut sunscreen filling my senses.
“Look. I haven’t been in a relationship in a long time. Most of the women I meet either want to be with me because of the whole fireman aspect or they want to be with me because of who my father is.”
“I don’t care about either of those things, at least not when it comes to what I want from you,” she clarifies.
“I know that which is why I’m doing my level best to get to know you before I fuck you. And believe me, I will, just as soon as you—”
She drops the towel. Saylor drops the motherfucking towel and stands there, nothing on her luscious body.
“Whoops.”
My legs propel me forward, my hands go to her shoulders, pulling her to me until her cold skin hits mine. Her nipples scrape my chest, making me hard, making my board shorts so tight that I’ll probably have to rip them off.
She tips up her chin, all at once a siren and seductive. “As soon as I do what?”
I touch her face and she leans into me, rubbing against my hand as her lashes fall to her cheeks. “Say yes.”
Her eyes open. “Yes.”

Review
My Rating: ❤ (4 Sunshine Stars)
Hard to fall is a very interesting and enjoyable read that is ironically, not hard to fall in love with. It is a captivating romance that involve a drunk wedding, families full of politicians and a very hot fireman.

I particularly like how the drunk wedding theme being incorporated in this story and I was excited and curious on what will happen next in their life. I love the way Saylor struggle to tell him that they are married when Hayden didn't remember a single thing. And I love it too when she finally told him.

The hero, Hayden Walker is a very intriguing character as he is a  fireman, a son of a senator and have a trust fund under his name. I like that he is very rich and yet he still work as a fireman as that's what he loves to do. I like that he is also very protective of Saylor and the way that he consistently want her to be protected and safe is very sweet. And I absolutely love the way he calls her Sunshine

Now moving on to the lovely Saylor Dean, the heroine to my Hayden. I love that she owns an animal shelter and she have such a big heart. I like that she cares about the animals and as a cat lover myself who is giving shelter to two little adorable kitten, I feel like I can somehow relate to her. I mean those cute animals who don't have shelter are breaking my heart and I love that she have a shelter to help them even if it is just in a literary world.

In addition, I really love the way Hayden and Saylor gradually fall in love with each other as they wed, date and make babies although the order is a bit unusual but hey that's what make this story unique and interesting. And oh boy, I really love the epilogue. It is truly beautiful and satisfying and I feel happy that I've read the book.

I am totally recommending Hard to Fall to fellow romance readers out there who love a good love story with a refreshing plot line, awesome characterization and steamy love scenes.
