SOMEHOW, SOME WAY by Jennifer Probst

Billionaire Builders, #2.5

BLURB:

Bolivar Randy Heart (aka Brady) knows exactly what he wants next in life: the perfect wife. Raised in a strict traditional family household, he seeks a woman who is sweet, conservative, and eager to settle down. With his well-known protective and dominant streak, he needs a woman to offer him balance in a world where he relishes control. Too bad the newly hired, gorgeous, rehab addict is blasting through all his preconceptions and wrecking his ideals…one nail at a time…

Charlotte Grayson knows who she is and refuses to apologize. Growing up poor made her appreciate the simple things in life, and her new job at Pierce Brothers Construction is perfect to help her carve out a career in renovating houses. When an opportunity to transform a dilapidated house in a dangerous neighborhood pops up, she goes in full throttle. Unfortunately, she’s forced to work with the firm’s sexy architect who’s driving her crazy with his archaic views on women. Too bad he’s beginning to tempt her to take a chance on more than just work…one stroke at a time…

Somehow, some way, they need to work together to renovate a house without killing each other…or surrendering to the white-hot chemistry knocking at the front door.

4 OPPOSITE ATTRACT STARS!
Somehow, Some Way was a delightful read that will certainly gives readers an enjoyable time.

Brady is this hot 35 years old Latino architect that likes everything to be neat, tidy and fixed. Somehow, he is set on his mind to seek for a 'traditional' wife that will obey him, cooks food and take care of the children at home. I must admit I think it is quite rare to find a male lead in a book that is looking to settle down because it usually about the playboy or manwhore or something like that. So in that regards, I felt that this book is refreshing although the female in me pretty much screamed inside when he told Charlotte his ideal wife characteristics because hello it is now 21st century and I like to work. But I don't know, being a stay at home wife can be good too hmm..

Anyway, let's talk about Charlotte now or Charlie as what she likes to be called as. Charlotte is a gorgeous 25 years old newly hired at the Pierce Brothers Construction in which it is the same company as where Brady works. She is young, impulsive, work-driven, totally not conservative and has no desire to settle down any time soon. In other words, she is a complete opposite of Brady.

And yet, somehow and some way they attracted to each other especially during the time they spend together in renovating a house that Charlotte bought. I like how they actually sort of dislike each other at first and then as they gradually getting close they just can't ignore their feeling anymore. Then, the angst about the different wants and needs in life is just a perfect flair in the plot and I dig that.

All that being said, I would say that it is worth reading and if you're looking for a good time that this book is definitely for you. Recommended for contemporary romance readers who loves a HEA.
